98-349: Windows Operating System Fundamentals
This exam validates that a candidate has fundamental Windows Operating knowledge and skills. It can serve as a stepping stone to the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) exams. It is recommended that candidates become familiar with the concepts and the technologies described here by taking relevant training courses. Candidates are expected to have some hands-on experience with Windows devices, Windows-based networking, managing applications, desktop settings, firewalls, network topologies and devices, and network ports.

All licenses are good for one year unless otherwise specified, and restricted to use by one individual. The licenses will become inactive if used by multiple individuals. Full Suite licenses allow the licensed individual to take up to 100 tests during the one year period. Single Application licenses are valid for up to 30 tests.
